Abstract

During the pandemic conditions, an alternative way to fulfill food needs for the community is by planting organic vegetables in the front yards of people's homes. One of the irrigation systems that can be used for planting organic vegetables is a simple spray irrigation system. However, in planting organic vegetables, the plant water requirement needs to be calculated so that the plants can grow optimally and healthy. This research on water requirement uses the Blaney-Criddle method and was conducted in the author's household garden. The results of this study obtained a total theoretical water requirement of 44 liters/30 days and a total actual water requirement of 54 liters/30 days, so it can be concluded that the theoretical water requirement has been fulfilled.
